The Melton Central Football and Netball Club was established in 1996 to cater for the overwhelming demand for local football within Melton. From humble beginnings, Melton Centrals continue to grow and provide for a range of groups within the Melton community. Melton Centrals is a young and dynamic football club that is a driving force for community participation within Melton. Currently, the Club fields 10 sporting teams.

Melton Centrals competes in the Riddell District Football League, playing teams from Rockbank, Sunbury, Diggers Rest, Romsey, Riddell, Lancefield, Macedon, Wallan, Kilmore, Woodend-Hesket and Broadford. The league has grown over the past five years.
